My name is Kate and I am the MD here at Contrast. I have a passion for recruitment that originally stemmed from my love of communication and connection, following my degree in languages at Leicester University in the 1990’s. Unlike many who fell into the industry, I actively sought a career in recruitment as I wanted to combine my passion for bringing people together alongside my interest in business; particularly the “human capital” element of what makes a successful team and organisation.

My career began working for a high street generalist agency, I then worked in the recruitment-to-recruitment arena for over 20 years, running my own business and placing people from trainee to ‘C’ Level globally. I set Contrast up in 2014 and am beyond fortunate to work with an amazing, supportive team, and of course with some fabulous Clients and Candidates.

Outside of Contrast I have a Daughter who works in recruitment, leading a successful Marcomms team in London (she was born with a CV in her hand, so it’s said..), a very patient husband, 2 boxer dogs and a KWPN Gelding (show jumper) that I compete with as often as I can.
